If you thought time travel and murder didn’t go together, you must think again. The Amazon Prime Videos new movie ‘Totally Killer’ captivates its viewers by adding a new twist to an average horror movie.
After thirty-five years, the sweet sixteen killer has returned on Halloween night to kill their fourth victim, that victim being Pam, Jamie’s mom. When seventeen year old Jamie encounters the killer, she mysteriously travels back in time to the night the first victim was killed in 1987. Intrigued on the case, Jamie teams up with her teen mother to track down who the sweet sixteen killer is, once and for all.
With less than a month of being released, “Totally Killer” has pushed all other movies aside as it takes its spot as the number one movie on Amazon Prime Video right now.
The director Nahnatchka Khan does an excellent job with the visuals of the film. Often horror movies are dark and have blah colors such as brown, gray, and black. While watching ‘Totally Killer’, the viewer can notice swarms of purple and blue flashed on the screen which made the movie more appealing to the audience.
Actor Kiernan Shipka played the character Jamie Hughes marvelously. For being a young, new actor, Shipka knows how to play her part. Her facial expressions tell more of a story than some lousy actors in Hollywood do while only talking. Known for her part as Sabrina in “Chilling Adventures of Sabrina”, her acting has improved and she is definitely making her way up the Hollywood ladder.
Although Shipka’s acting is phenomenal, many other actors couldn’t reach her level. Liana Liberato had an underwhelming performance playing one of the victims named Tiffany Clark. Her acting was boring and there was nothing that stood out as unique.
Overall ‘Totally Killer’ is an outstanding movie that all ages can enjoy. The storyline keeps viewers on their toes without making the plot too insane. ‘Totally Killer’ is one of my favorite Halloween season movies.
